About the event

An intimate week of ocean connection, surfing, sea turtle restoration, nature immersion, sisterhood, and meaningful time together for mothers and daughters.

Together we will:

  • Surf the warm Pacific waters

  • Participate in sea turtle restoration efforts

  • Share nourishing, beautiful meals

  • Gather in circle

  • Explore the beaches and jungle

  • Create space for connection, confidence, play, and deep memory-making

This experience is designed to be both adventurous and restorative — a village-style immersion where mothers and daughters can strengthen trust, joy, communication, and connection with the natural world.

Your Home in Playa San Miguel

We will be staying in a stunning open-air beach villa just steps from the ocean on one of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica. Featuring a gorgeous pool, expansive indoor–outdoor living spaces, and a fully open-air kitchen, the villa is designed for relaxed tropical living, beauty, and deep connection.

Wake to the sound of the waves, walk barefoot from the villa directly onto the beach, watch the sunset over the Pacific, and fall asleep to the rhythm of the ocean.

This is a soulful, intimate immersion where luxury meets deep nature connection — beautiful accommodations, thoughtfully curated spaces, world-class nourishing meals, meaningful experiences, and the magic of living close to the sea in village-style community.

Surfing Together

This immersion is designed to warmly welcome beginners, including mothers and daughters who have never surfed before. Playa San Miguel is an especially beautiful place to learn — known for its long sandy beach, gentle rolling waves, and spacious shoreline that creates a supportive and less intimidating environment for first-time surfers.

We will be guided by an exceptional local surf team whose teaching style is patient, clear, encouraging, and deeply attuned to helping beginners feel safe, confident, and successful in the water. Surfboards and all equipment are included, and instruction will be personalized to support a fun, empowering experience for all ages and experience levels.

Beyond learning technique, surfing together becomes a practice in courage, presence, joy, and trust — and often one of the most unforgettable parts of the journey.

Estuary Kayaking & Tropical Wildlife

One morning, we will rise before dawn for a guided estuary kayaking journey through the mangroves. As the jungle awakens around us, the estuary comes alive in a breathtaking chorus of tropical birdsong. We may encounter scarlet macaws flying overhead, herons and egrets moving through the shallows, kingfishers darting across the water, white ibis, parrots, hawks, and howler monkeys calling from the trees as we paddle through this lush and vibrant ecosystem together.

It is an unforgettable experience of wonder, beauty, and connection with the living world.
