- Nature Sisters Day Camp -

for Girls ages 8-11

Girls who are powerful, intuitive, playful, embodied, close to the Earth, creative and powerful are not “Tom Boys” I like to refer to this archetype as the Wild Girl.

In community singing with the sun, the waters, the birds and spreading our wings to their full span- we gather to celebrate and nourish the true nature of Girls.

This week of play, song, learning and connection remembers us as a part of the village and activates our belonging.

A flowering girl whose love of herself, the Earth and her sisters is offered as a gift to the world and a prayer for peace in the heart of humanity.

At Nature Sisters I receive these vignettes of the girls playing in the creek and the mountains together, wild and free and it inspires me, this is the birthright of our daughters, to be enjoying life on Earth, together in happiness and peace.

The theme of this week of Nature Sisters is The Elements, as within- so all around.

August 5-9th, 2024

We will be uplifting the air element with breath-work and yoga, nature connection running games, and crafting feather wands.

We will connect with the fire through building our fire tending skills, nest building for the coals and cooking wild foods over the campfire.

We will honor the water through pond and creek play, fairy boat building, stream ecology, water songs and a water honoring ritual.

We will celebrate the Earth through plant magic, plant walks, botanical sketching, flower essence making, learning to make rope/cordage, foraging for edible plants, making offerings and connecting with the animals through our Spirit Animal journey.

As always we will sing, circle, run, play, learn and be inspired by the Earth and each other.

Both weeks of Nature Sisters will conclude with our Award Ceremony (3-4pm on Friday) that honors the unique gifts of each girl with a handmade award, storytelling and the Nature Sisters will share their songs and original choreography from the week. Aunties, Uncles, Grandparents, Mentors and Family are welcome to join- it's such a simple and sweet ceremony.

With Excitement for two weeks of Paradise, Lena

Join us as we play and connect with new friends and Mother Earth through Nature Awareness games, ancestral crafts, teamwork, community service and primitive skills.

We will learn edible and medicinal plants, herbal medicine making, and share our hearts through song, play, council circles and simple earth based rituals. We will serve the community, grow our ability to work as a team and hone awareness of each girl’s strengths and leadership qualities.
